2023: A Medi Spa on the Edge
In 2023, I launched my medi spa in the Okanagan with high hopes and even higher overhead. I invested in laser hair removal, facials, body sculpting, and tattoo removal—all the services I thought would build a thriving business.
By the end of year one, I had brought in under $30,000. After paying for equipment leases, rent, and supplies, I was barely staying afloat. As a single mother, I couldn't afford to fail.
